Voice Over – An Interview With Voice Talent Xavier

This week’s featured Voice Over Actor is Xavier !

You’ve been on camera as well as behind the mic on some big projects. What have been some of your favorites?

I’m the voice of The Buffalo Bills, MTV, BET promos, CBS, The Weather Channel, Voice acting from the Hit Video Games:
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto IV
Grand Theft Auto V
Conflict Vietnam
Also, I’m Zixx Of The Black Blade in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

With 25 years of voice over experience, my most recent credits include: new on air promo announcer for the NBA, Narrator for History Channel’s UFO Files.

Do you still do on camera work?

I can be seen in the highly anticipated HBO series “Crime” starring John Tuturro. I can also been an on-air host for the SyFy Channel, Fox Family Channel and Jet Blue TV.

How did you get into Voice Acting?

As a result of my on camera career, more and more requests began for my voice on the tv shows and commercials I appeared in and this continues today!

What separates a true, professional Voice Actor from the others?

A body of work spanning decades that speaks for itself. True dedication cannot be faked. So I allow my work to speak for itself: the 20 years of national spots, promos, TV show narrations as well as my several current campaigns to show I’m here to stay. My body of work does all the talking for me.

What kind of equipment do you have in your studio?

Top of the line. Neumann mics, Avalon preamps, iso booths with phone patch to ISDN. I’m ready to accommodate today’s voiceover market needs.

What else should we know about Xavier?

As an accomplished actor Xavier is also capable of the following accents:Southern, South African, Jamaican, British. Xavier is also a voice match/voice soundalike for celebrities Will Smith. Celebrity impersonations:Mike Tyson, Will Smith, Bill Cosby, Muppets, “Miss Piggy”, Elmo, Morgan Freeman. Xavier also a standup comedian credited with network show appearances and national touring comedy improv experience. With an extensive elearning background he’s strong at long form narration.
